Brighton Male Voice Choir - Logo

In 1927, as waves lashed the Brighton cliffs, a group of Welsh miners sang as they worked to shore up the sea defences and construct the under-cliff walkway between Rottingdean and Black Rock ......
And so the Brighton Male Voice Choir was born.
The choir is still performing today, in and around Brighton, raising thousands of pounds for worthwhile local and national charities, including: The Martletts Hospice; Marie Curie Cancer Care, and Help For Heroes.
In 2012, we recorded a joint concert with The Solent Choir, at St. George's church, Brighton. and CD's are on sale at all our performances. Play the video clip on this page to hear one track from that CD.
Under the direction of Andrew Beaizley, we sing the songs that you will know and love and we urge you to come to see us perform an exhilarating and enjoyable mix of four-part harmonies.
Click on the "Engagements" menu to see our latest concert diary.
Like all choirs we are always looking for new members. Rehearsals are held every Wednesday Evening at 7-30 pm at Woodingdean Methodist Church, The Ridgway, Woodingdean, Brighton BN2 6PA. The Choir welcome men, 18 plus, who enjoy singing in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Ability to read music is not essential and no auditions are held.
Why not come down and meet us? You will be sure of a very warm welcome.
The choir has been subsided by Brighton & Hove Council for three years at the time of writing; this by means of our successful applications for Discretionary Grants. The Council appreciate the choir's voluntary community involvement and fundraising over many years. We were also awarded a £1000 bursary by AMEX Incorporated in 2011.
If you need a choir to perform at a public concert, wedding, etc. Or to help raise funds for any charitable organisation.
Please email Tommy Ryan [Secretary].
